ABSTRACT
The childhood is a golden and critical period in human life, to determine the children growth in the future. It is a basic in forming a physical ability, language, emotional social, concept by yourself, artistic, moral and religion values (Sujanto, 2000). The objective of this research is to know the correlation between parents knowledge and the success of children talent and potency
developing.
The population of this research is little care’s students which is 3 – 12 years old in CCC of STIKES Surya Global around Gambiran and Giwangan religion of sub district Umbulharjo Yogyakarta.
The result of this research show that the respondent in CCC of STIKES Surya Global consists of playgroup and kindergarten which are 3 – 6 years old are 21 people (61,76%) have good mark (103-111) are 9 people (42,86%). While the children are 6 – 12 years old have less mark (19 – 20) are 6 people (46,15%). The development of talent and children potency which is 3 – 6 years old have less mark (103 – 111) are 12 people (42,86%). While the children which is 6 – 12 years old have enough mark (20 – 22) and less (17 – 19) each of them are people (38,46%). There are positive and significant correlation between parents’ knowledge with the success of children talent and potency developing in CCC of STIKES Surya Global Yogyakarta both of 3 – 6 years old(playgroup & kindergarten) or 6 – 12 years old (elementary school). The more kind of parents’ knowledge to appreciate the children talent and potency developing, so the most they have gets in CCC of STIKES Surya Global Yogyakarta.
